I have a number of user accounts on a small office network and have set up fast user switching on the Macs, all of which works fine. (OSX 10.4)
However, I wanted to locate the Home folders for each user on a netwroked drive so that they could log on to any machine and have their stuff appear, but seem to have hit a problem.
It seems that only one user at a time (on any given Mac) can connect to the networked drive, and that when switching users the previously mapped drive where the Home folder should be located has now disappeared - presumably because it is still mapped to the previous user. It also means that the networked Home folder idea dosn't work, because the network drive is not present when the new user logs in. (Have used Netinfo Manager to change the home folder path to the attached volume)
Is there a way of keeping a mapped drive present for all users? And/or another way of setting up networked Home folders?
