Fan Running High During Long Boot

Hi,

I decided to replace my lcd display myself for my A1708. The display shows on my laptop, but when I tested the screen, the trackpad no longer physically clicked nor did the keyboard. So I decided to force shut down, and now my fan runs really high and the boot only shows the status bar with a black screen and the apple loading.

Should I leave the laptop to boot with the fan running so high? I tried reopening and tracing back my steps to see if I accidentally hooked something up incorrectly but when I turned on the power it’s the same and the track pad still won’t physically click.

Is there something I’m missing? Is it a hopeless cause and I should just opt for a new laptop?

Thank you.

I also want to add that even though the fan is running really high, the computer does not feel hot.
