Basically, I had installed Stanford's Folding@Home program, which uses some of the computer's processing power to simulate protein folding for medical purposes. However, I removed the application off of my Mac (which runs OS X 10.9.2). When I check my Activity Monitor (Task Manager), it reports that the FAHClient (read Folding At Home Client) and the FahCore_a4 are still running and taking up CPU. I've tried the little x button at the top of Activity Monitor to Force Quit these things, but they keep coming back. Is there any way of deleting these things?

Thanks.

I'd start by looking to see if they have an uninstaller, there is a few place they might have put them and locations where they are making them spawn so start by checking if they have written an uninstaller.
