Face Time and Message not working on iMac

Face Time and Message won't work on my iMac but they work on my iPhone. Followed directions to change my Apple ID but nothing changed--no joy on iMac but it works on my phone.

iPhone 7 exact model and iOS version can be found in Settings > General > About.

You could try the first 5-6 steps in this article:

No need to reinstall as it suggests...let us know if the first 5-6 steps don't get it working for you.
