Error please help!

When I open anything on the Mac it says "(what I me trying to open)" interrupted shut down
To continue the shutdown, quit "(what I'm trying to open)"

-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X?
-Have you tried closing all apps, powering off, then restarting the Mac to see if the issue persists?
