I hear there may be an issue with el capitan and photoshop cc. I am producing horrible prints( dirty and greenish) when using the "print in photoshop " on my Epson p800 printer window. Prints made using the Epson print option are reasonable but my experience with past osx and printer systems tells me that photoshop should be far better. I am using a calibrated Eizo monitor and macbook pro. I know that the graphics card on my macbook pro (2010) is not as powerful as it should be for photoshop cc but I can't see why it should cause such dramatic unwanted color shifts. Anther issue is a sudden red cast when switching into fullscreen mode. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome.

-Your video card doesn't have anything to do with printing from Photoshop
-Uncheck  > System Preferences... > Energy Saver > Automatic graphics switching to ensure you are using the NVIDIA discrete graphics chip - this may correct the red tint issue in full screen mode.
-Have you installed the latest driver v9.80 for the Epson SureColor P800?
-Are you using any ICC profiles for the printer?
-Have you tried these steps: Printing Images with Application (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) Colour Management on an Epson from a Mac

I have the latest epson driver and I'm using Hahnemuhle icc paper profiles. I think I've discovered the reason for the redness in full screen mode. I needed to switch primary and secondary monitors. Seems to work. As for the reason for the dreadful printing results - God knows!

Could it be problematical to be using US driver in Europe? My set up is "Eurobased" as I'm in Portugal but I see that 9.80 is the US version. Otherwise I'm completely mystified by the terrible quality of the prints via Photoshop

Having used an old Epson r2400, Hahnemuhle papers, icc profiles with CS5 and Snow Leopard for quite a few years I'm familiar with this procedure. This is what is bothering me. What on earth am I doing wrong!? Is it possible that there is a Mac bug? Or that I, for some reason, have a bug in MY Mac or elsewhere?

OK, good...wasn't sure.

I have done a little more Internet searching, and it does seem like a bug somewhere. Of course, Apple/Adobe/Epson will all point the finger at each other.

Will let you know if I find anything conclusive.
