El Capitan crashes

since installing El Capitan I have frequent crashes in Microsoft Word and when using Dragon Dictate. Is there anything I can do? If I save every sentence it seems Ok, but that is pretty tedious.

'In order to have Office 2011 compatible with El Capitan, it was necessary to upgrade Office 2011 to V14.5.8. The newest version of Office 2011 is 14.5.9. You can get it from here:

This isn't a bad practice, especially if you're working on something really important. I don't use any Microsoft products but I do compose music on my Mac & am constantly pressing Command S to save my work as I've learnt the harsh way when my music software crashed with a stack of work lost in a blink.

Microsoft may have a good autosave system, I can't say but Command S is a good thing to practice.
