Editing Address Book

HI, hoping someone can help :> Im trying to edit my address book but cant seem to get anywhere. Just want to clean out the old ones. I have tried previous recipients and highlighting and moving to trash but nothing is working.

Hi and welcome,

Try this route a little long winded but want to see what happens.

1) Open your contacts and choose a recipient that you want to remove.
2) click the edit box at the bottom of the window as my screen shot.
3) now delete all info in all fields
4) Click the done button which should have appeared in place of the edit button.

What is the result?

I am trying to edit the address book of my mail account. this doesn't seem to work either.I thank you for your reply though. Any other thoughts >?????

Hi,

If Mac Mail then it uses your contacts, IE when you write an email and type a letter into the recipients box it will pull up any relevant contact, so following my first post acts for both.

Otherwise need to know which mail client you are using.
