Hi everyone,

My apologies if this has been posted before - this is my first post on the forum. Basically I seem to somehow have managed to delete the DVD Player App from my Mac, and have found lots of helpful advice suggesting I should reinstall it from the disk that originally came with my Mac. Unfortunately, after five years that disk is nowhere to be found and I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated!

Hello and welcome.

Which Mac model?
What OS version are you running?
Do you happen to have a Time Machine or other backup of your Mac?

You can get replacement DVDs from Apple for the cost of the media, about $19.

It's a really good idea to create a separate Administrator account, and do your normal day to day work in a Standard user account. Make your Admin password something secure that you're not going to just automatically type without thinking when promoted... That protects you from many little accidents!
