I trust DuckDuckGo more than Google to not spy on my searches, but Google usually returns more information. I use them both, depending on what information I need.

If you are looking for privacy in your search engine, you may want to checkout Startpage (www.startpage.com).

They provide the results of google, but filter them and do not track you. They are my preferred search engine.
