I have a friend with a new Intel Macbook Pro.

I setup an Airport Wireless network and it all works fine.

Except, when the MacBook Pro (Intel) reboots - it doesnt remember the wireless network and wep password that was used - and you must manually select it again.
(even if the pw is saved in the keychain)

any ideas?

thanks - Julian

Heres the soln: - configure the Mac for a Preferred Network - not Automatic:

How can I ask my Mac to prefer a certain AirPort network?

Mac OS 10.4 allows you to set up preferred networks in the Network preference pane. Double-click the AirPort status to configure the interface. You’ll see a line that reads "By default, join: Automatic." Change this to "Preferred Networks." You can find additional options under the Options button.

Have you hid the SSID? Sometimes that can happen when the SSID is hidden and the router is either rebooted or turned off.
