It doesn't matter what software or application I'm using....every one of them are overlaying the word "DRAFT" over everything I print ... I can't find a setting like that anywhere.

I've removed the printer, then added it back on this newer IMAC running Snow Leopard and it fixed the problem, so no worries.

It's just driving me nuts knowing that there HAS to be a setting somewhere that can be changed.

Just me being Anal about the whole thing.

Anyone know where such a setting is?

Nothing I know of, never heard of it before, in 15 years of Mac Support.

It must be extra software installed or some special function of the Printer Driver.

Can you post a picture?

Or rather, it did....deleting the old printer, then "adding" it back in fixed everything...it was just such a weird glitch I figure there's got to be some little setting hidden somewhere in the menus....just can't find it.

Must be in the Printer Driver.

In the Print sheet, ensure you are seeing all the Details, with show details.

Half way down is a popup with the name of the App under that menu there are a lot of additional Printer Settings.

These are from the Printer and each model has its own set of additional functions, so it is impossible to say just what setting would do this.
