Document in old program

Dear Sir: I have a document in a flappy disk which was transferred to a CD by a Mac store. The problem, I can not read it in my MacBook Pro I guess because it was written in an old word program one of the first ones. Any advised, what can I use to be able to read it.

Sadly, probably nothing, Word is a proprietary format owned by Microsoft who have dropped all support for their old document types.

You could try Hex Fiend to look at the raw bytes, you may find some of the raw text intact.
