Do you have the same start up time?

Hey everyone,

I clocked my new MacBook Pro to see how fast it ran in best performance! From the login menu to the desktop it took about 6-10 seconds. is this normal for macs? The reason I ask is that I recently noticed my spotlight and icons to the right of the toolbar were all loading slower than the dock and toolbar!

That's normal, it loads those applications on your toolbar one by one, once the OS is launched.

And yes, they're pretty fast, aren't they? :)
