Like the idiot that I am I released the button when downloading a firmware update and my computer will not reboot. After researching, I discovered that I can fix the problem (hopefully) if I follow the instructions here:
http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/firmwarerestorationcd17.html
I have followed the instructions but cannot burn the CD when I use disk utility. I get a disk utility error message saying, "unable to burn "disk2" The device failed to respond properly, unable to recover or retry" and promptly spits out the CD. I am burning the CD (blank CD-R) using a G4 in an attempt to fix my Macbook Pro. Please help! Thanks!
