Hi everyone,
I'm trying to disable system sounds, for example, when I open a new application or window I hear a 'donk' sound. While I'm typing right now the auto-correct makes a 'bubble' sound. As well as other various sounds throughout using my Mac. The donk sound is most frequent, it seems to happen when I do anything.. open illustrator (donk) open file (donk) select file (donk) select pen tool (donk). Not just in illustrator but all programs.
Anyways, I have gone into System Preferences (donk), gone to sounds (donk), and de-selected Play User Interface Sound Effects. I have also moved the Alert Volume all the way to the left. I close System Preferences (donk). I also shut down and restarted the system.
I don't want to completely mute the computer because I listen to music - which, when turned up, the 'donk donk bubble woot swish donk' is even louder than the music.
I'm using a MacBook Pro OS X version 10.8
Any help would be hugely appreciated
