I have 2 Macs in use. One is a late 2106 13-inch MacBook Pro, the other is a 2011 i-mac with extended RAM 12GB. Both use Sierra v 10.12.5.
Why is it that whatever background I set, on either machine, whether single pictures or several from an i-Photo folder, it/they will not stay selected for long? Sometimes this is for only a few seconds, other times longer periods but commonly re-set on re-boot. I have 3 or 4 Mission Control choices in use; eventually all return to he rather pink picture of some mountain peaks. Nothing wrong with the picture [or the peaks] , but they are too familiar.
My old white 2009 MacBook has the same issue using 10.12.3.
Can't see anything on Mac Help or in David Pogue's Sierra Missing Manual of any use.
