Hi to all. I am new to the forums (and Macs)
I bought an iMac for my daughter (the older translucent ones with a DVD) so she could play games and watch movies on her own computer.
But the iMac said to play her game it needed Classic. This iMac came with OSX installed.
I found in the 'Startup' folder an option for Classic to boot and I selected it.
But now it fails to boot up all the way. Instead of the rainbow colored wheel, it has the old IIc looking icon and boots to this message every time.
Any help would be appreciated.
My daughter is happy playing her games and movies on my PC again, but we would both be happy for her iMac to be up and running again.
I got it from geeks.com and it did not come with any CDs and their support was poor.
My guess is they did not install Classic correctly, which is why it did not open Classic automatically when her 'Winnie the Pooh' game was inserted.
Please help, my little girl and I will thank you.

The system software on the startup disk only
functions on the original media, not if copied
to another drive.
I can see the OS 9 Classic welcome page directly under the error message.Restart
