Cursor Jumping

Hi Guys I'm having problems with my cursor: it jumps back to the middle of a sentence or disappears completely, when I press space (it's doing it now!!) However, it behaves when I'm in Word, but sending messages on forums, in Facebook, Skype or the like it won't stay still! Any suggestions?!?! Thanks
