Converting large Word docs to PDF

When I try to convert very large Word documents (80 pages) to PDF, it gets saved in several smaller batches so that I end up with 4-5 parts of the whole document in PDF format instead of one entire, 80-page PDF document.
Advice please?

2.5 MB (lots of graphics!)

That is odd, I know there is some limitations regarding pdf but you seem to be well within those, I'm curious though that you wrote that a word file containing lots of graphics is only 2.5mb. What kind of graphics?
