I have purchased a 17" Studio Display monitor from e-bay, and very nice it looks too. I need to find the right connectors.
I have managed to track down a Belkin product (F2E9142-WHT) which is a ADC/DVI connector. The trouble is, the ADC part is the same as my cable end (ie Male), I need to find a supplier who sells a component that adapts the male end into a female one.
Can anyone help ?

Is this the Apple Studio Display (17-inch ADC) model M7768? Which Mac are you trying to connect it to?

OK...

That display has an ADC connector.

As far as the Mac goes...the PM G4 350MHz came with a few different video cards during its life:

(PCI Graphics): ATI Rage 128 w/VGA connector
(AGP Graphics): ATI Rage 128 w/VGA or ATI Page 128 Pro w/DVI-D connector

I assume you have the latter with DVI? This may work:

Apple DVI to ADC Display Adapter

However, I do remember some incompatibilities with this adapter...will look to see what they were.

Hi Cory ... you are correct I have the latter. i just looked up Apples recommended adaptor, and spotted that it has the same "gendered" end as my Monitors ie Male.
WhatI need is a Male_Female converter.
I can send you an image of both ends (just to clarify 100%) if you wish?
my email address is ... mainchrs1 at aol dot com
