COMPUTER TURNS ITSELF ON/OFF AUTOMATICALLY WHILE IN SLEEP MODE.

RECENTLY COMPUTER OCCASIONALLY TURNS ON/OFF AUTOMATICALLY WHILE IN SLEEP MODE. SEEMS TO BE ABOUT 2 HOUR INTERVALS. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN REGULARLY OR CONSISTENTLY, ONLY OCCASIONALLY. DID NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM OCCUR AT ALL FOR FIRST 2 1/2 YEARS I OWNED COMPUTER. EVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM? COULD THIS BE A HACKING ATTEMPTS?

TRIED UNPLUGGING/ DISCONNECTING PRINTER. NOTICED PROBLEM STARTED SHORTLY AFTER NEW PRINTER WAS PURCHASED (PRINTER HAS "WIRELESS" CAPABILITIES WHICH I DO NOT USE OR UNDERSTAND

HAVE MAC OSX 10.7 LION. I SEARCHED AROUND ON WEB AND COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM LIKE THIS. YOU MEAN COMPUTER HARDWARE COULD ACTUALLY BE WORN OUT- I ALWAYS USED SLEEP RATHER THAN TURN MACHINE ON/OFF, TO SAVE WEAR ON SYSTEM, PLUS TAKES ABOUT 5 MINUTES LONG TIME TO LOAD FROM COLD START. WITH SLEEP YOU CAN ACCESS WEB IN 10 SECOND. COULD A NEW BROTHER MFC-9130 CW COLOR LASER 4 IN ONE PRINTER BE CAUSING PROBLEMS WITH AUTO ON/OFF DURING SLEEP MODE, I WAS THINKING MAYBE WAS AUTO- CHECKING FOR THINGS TO PRINT?

Easy to check, turn the printer off and disconnect it and see if the problem stops.

I HAVE DISCONNECTED/ UNPLUGGED PRINTER WHEN THIS HAPPENED FEW TIMES SAME DAY I CONNECTED IT. STOPPED FOR 2 WEEKS, THEN HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY. MAYBE MOVE PRINTER OUT OF RANGE OF COMPUTER? (THIS PRINTER ALSO TRANSMITS WIRELESS SIGNALS.
