The two primary backup/cloning programs are SuperDuper! and Carbon Copy Cloner. SuperDuper! does not backup the (hidden) Recovery HD partition, whereas Carbon Copy Cloner does. But, it is easy to re-create the Recovery HD partition.

I use SuperDuper!, and it wrorks real well.
