Hello,
There are people out there who are buying used Macs, although I'm not familiar with anyone offering an exchange deal. If they were offering such a thing, I would imagine that they would give you much less than what your Mac is worth. You'd probably be better off selling the Mac to a regular old Joe Shmoe, taking the money, and then going to the Apple store and putting it down on a new Mac.
