Changing pictures display in finder

When I open "pictures" in finder, folders are displayed. How can I change this to display a picture instead of a blue folder. I am using an iMac OS

Do you mean change the Pictures folder icon into a picture, or set the background of the window to a picture?

Hi Cory, When I open "Pictures" in finder I get all folders displayed as blue folders with titles underneath. On my PC when I do the same it displays folders which appear slightly open so you can see part of the photos inside. I was wondering if I can something similar on my iMac.
