Changing apps

How do i simply change between apps. I've seen people do a simple key command and in the center of the desktop, the icons of the open apps are there and you can cursor over to one you want to bring up to the front. thanks!

Command - Tab

If you are using Fullscreen Control - Left Arrow, and Control - Right Arrow.

Mission Control - Control - Up Arrow or F3 on some keyboards
