Hi,

I have an early 2008 Mac Pro running OSX El Capitan.

The other day my Sata drive failed and I decided to change the main drive to an SSD to speed up boot/applications etc.

I installed the SSD along with a secondary 1TB Sata for all of my other files.

After a fresh install, I changed my home directory to the second mounted 1TB drive via System preferences.

Everything looked good UNTIL I tried installing Teamviewer. I am installing Teamviewer on the BOOT (SSD) drive however it opens for a few seconds and closes.

I have a feeling this has to do with the drives and different home directory but I can't seem to figure out the problem. I'm not sure but I feel the application is looking for files/folders which it cannot find.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Just checked the system logs and noticed the following, just not sure how I should fix it. I was thinking a symlink or something but not sure how to do it:

Jan 6 11:20:20 MacPro com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.teamviewer.desktop[24697]): Service could not initialize: Unable to set current working directory. error = 2: No such file or directory, path = /Volumes/DISK/Applications/TeamViewer.app/Contents/Helpers: 15C50: xpcproxy + 12028 [1353][13E77DA5-3602-31BF-B074-49D4EE27E9D8]: 0x2

Hello and welcome.

It definitely could have something to do with the home folder not residing on the startup drive, but not necessarily.

Del's question is a good place to start.
