Caps shortcut

On Pages (which I don't like but am stuck with) I have eliminated the caps lock function because I am a lousy typist and hit it by accident way too often. But there are times when I want to capitalize a heading or something and using one hand to hold down the shift key is annoying. On Microsoft Word ( a much better app but I don't want to have to pay a monthly fee for it!) there is a way to set up a shortcut to start and then stop capitalizing. Is there a way to do that on Pages? Something like option+some key? Or whatever.

Hello,

You can disable Capitalize words automatically in Pages> Preferences... > Auto-Correction.

You may be able to set a key command in  > System Preferences... > Keyboard > Shortcuts - App Shortcuts to enable capitals, but I am not sure what the combo would be.

As I mentioned, I have disabled the caps lock key but, despite following what I assume are the correct procedures I have not been able to create a new way of setting up a caps lock for when I need it. Thanks anyway
