Can't type in text boxes?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm a recent convert to all things Mac.

I can't seem to type in any text boxes, I thought it was just on the internet, but I cant type in spotlight either.

I fiddled with something to do with autofill (i think) and hasn't been right since.

I'm using a macbook with mac os x 10.5.

Any help appreciated!

Hi, have you tried restarting the computer? Try fixing permissions from the Disk Utility app in the Utilities folder, too. Try the free utility Font Nuke, too: http://www.coolosxapps.net/2008/01/08/fontnuke-remove-font-cache-files/
