Hey I have a numbers file on a disk image on my hard drive , I have had this document for about a year or so now , When I try to access it , it asks for my disk image password which works fine and then it comes up with the message “Overview.numbers” can’t be opened." Does anyone know how to resolve this problem ?

Hello and welcome.

-Which version of OS X?
-Which version of Numbers?
-Which version of OS X/Numbers were you running when you created the disk image and the Numbers file?
-Have you tried dragging a copy from the encrypted disk image to your Desktop and opening it from there?

I was using Mavericks when creating it and now I am using Yosemite , I have the latest version of numbers and i have tried opening it from my desktop. It is encrypted with a password but unlike my other spreadsheets with passwords it doesn't seem to be showing a lock.
