Can't make the screen saver longer than 5 min

When I try to make the screen saver longer than 5 min a yellow triangle appears. I tried setting my sleep longer in the battery setting and tried booting in safe mode doesn't work. This is not a company laptop. I at one time I had kaspersky anti-virus (had it for a PC included 3 users so I put it on this machine). Completely removed it more than a year ago.
Macbook Pro running the latest OS and update.
