can't insert cd in disc drive for Max OS X

Unable to insert a cd into a Mac OS X Version 10.3.5
processor 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5

I've tried everything online help has suggested.
There is no cd inside, it just won't accept my new cd and feels
like something is stuck.
Suggestions??

Hi there and welcome,

first suggestion, Restart, if you haven't already then try again.

If you have already tried this, then goto the Applications Folder open the Utilities folder and open Terminal...

Then type:

drutil tray close

then press return

then try again.
