Hey guys having a crisis here. I don't really know what happened but now my screen is stuck on some odd widget page and I can't get back to desktop neither can I open any of my programs from the dashboard. How do I get out of this widget mode? Thanks!!

Hello and welcome.
-Which model Mac?
-Which version of OS X?
-Do you have a current Time Machine or other backup of your data?
It sounds like you may be stuck in the Dashboard view:
Normally you can go back to the Desktop by pressing the Esc key. If you are totally stuck in that view and have no other way to get out of it, you can press and hold the Power button until the computer powers off. Then, power it back on and it should go back to normal.
