My boss just brought me a Mac desktop (where everything is built into the screen) and I'm running Mac OS X....with the PC I used to hook up my printer (a Canon Pixma MX310) and fax directly from my PC (I would print to the fax portion and a box and window would come up asking for phone, etc.)
To my understanding from the Canon website, they have limited software for the Mac for this. I am unable to fax from the Mac is seems. This is an essential part of my job and we use Vonage for our phone lines.
I tried seeing if I could hook the PC directly up the Vonage box and fax, but I can't (only through ethernet). There is no phone jack on this Mac.
How can I fax from PDFs from the Mac? I have tried printing to the fax portion of the printer and I get an error from mac saying it could find no existing modems.
This is very frustrating!
