Hello!

I am new here and I really hope somebody can help.
I have maybe done my biggest mistake
Embarrassed.png

I have changed the permissions in filesharing on my internal HD (Macintosh HD) to no access.
It is the folder called Everybody.
It should be read only I think.
Administrator is still read and write
And now my Mac want even boot up.
I have tried everything and have found out that only solution is fixing it in terminal.
But I dont know how.
Can somebody please help me???

Here's a post that might help:
"HOLY!!!!!! I'm in, I'm in, I'm in, I'm in!!!!!!! I've never been so happy!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!! Thank you all sooo very much!!!! here's what I did..

In Single User Mode... I starting reading the text that is printed to the screen prior to the command prompt.. there were lines that said:

Mounted as read only

To modify files:
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /

I ran each command... then used:

chmod 1775 /

I received the :/ root# prompt...

Then typed "exit" (to boot)..

WHAM!!!!! Login screen... entered password... everything is set!!

I almost (almost) have tears in my eyes!!!

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!"

Lol! I'm glad that the post worked for you and I love you too! Please, consider backing up your valuable files to an external hard drive or a dvd or cd. Even though Macs are great, hard drives will not last forever. :)

Chicago has its good spots but there are many neighborhoods that you should avoid. The girls are great! Especially the Wrigleyville and Downtown girls. Ah, being single is great!!!! :)
