Here's a bit about HEIC files: What is HEIC?

You should be able to simply share them from the Photos app via email or message, and the iPhone will convert them on the fly to JPG.

What do you mean on the fly?

Hello,

When you share the photo via email/message, the iPhone will convert it right then to JPG, and send it in that format. On the fly, meaning without an extra step and as you share them.
