I was unable to download the Windows Support Software through Boot Camp Assistant. If you search this problem, you'll see that there are a ton of problems with downloading this and most people seem to be unsuccessful.

I found some things online that suggested just to skip downloading the support software which I did and was able to go ahead and complete the W7 install but now I have no drivers with which to use W7.

Does anyone have any tips about how to get Boot Camp Assistant to work so that I can get the official Windows Support Software or any workarounds to get the drivers I need another way?

Please help...I knew this was a bad idea but I had to do it for work....

The Windows support software is also on the Mac OS X Installer disc. If you go to the Apple Support site, you can download the Boot Camp Installer PDF and it will give you the steps to install the drivers from the Mac OS X disc for your particular version of Boot Camp/Mac OS X.

1) Do all MBPs still come with discs? I don't remember seeing one but it could still be in the original box...

2) Does it matter that I've since upgraded to Mountain Lion (since Snow Leopard is probably what was on the disc of which you speak?)

They came with discs when Snow Leopard was pre-installed. Apple discontinued install discs with Lion. Since you are running Mountain Lion and creating the Boot Camp partition with it, you will need the Mountain Lion/Boot Camp Windows Support Software (version 4.0 I believe).

-What error are you getting when attempting to download the software?
-Did you choose Burn a copy or Save a copy?
