Black Bar in Group Mailer attempt 2

i accedently posted this in the wrong forum so am reposting it here

When using Automater to make a Group Mailer, the workflow produces a black bar over all the message text on every message. is there a solution to this problem?
i am currently using OS 10.6.4 on an iMac.
any help would be great.
