Automator Service

I have successfully created a Service that when I select images files i can reduce them to 25 or 50% or whatever. It consists of

Copy Finder Items (which I'm not clear still what it does)
Scale Images from Finder

Now Im interested in creating a batch process or workflow. But Im having trouble getting it right. I want to do 2 things differently:

1. After selecting the files, I want to be able to call a program (Pixelmator or Adobe PSE) and have it trim the image or do something else to it.

2. I want to be able to say where the images go instead of on the Desktop all the time.

I guess I need to include a Watch Me Do but Im not sure how to get this to work properly. Im sure its a pretty easy thing to do.

Automator doesn't script other Apps, that is a job for AppleScript.

But Pixelmator does have a Crop Action.
