Apple aluminium keyboard with numeric keypad - some keys not working all the time

I recently bought an Apple aluminium keyboard with the numeric keypad for use with my iMac 27. I bought it mostly because I like to use the Del / Home / End / Page Up and Page Down keys.

However, only some applications recognise the keys - for example Dreamweaver understands End and Home, but not Page Up / Page Down and the Text Edit application does not recognise any of them...

Should this happen?

Yes, it's up to the Application developer to implement those keys.

You can also configure them yourself with System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts
