My safari is hijacked by the "anysearchmanager" virus, it is redirected to search.anysearchmanager.com every time. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I suggest if you don't already have it, download Malewarebytes from the link below then run it.

Malwarebytes

Also launch Safari preferences by going to Safari in the upper right of Finder & choosing Preferences ~> Extensions then have a look for any Extensions that you think might be related to anysearchmanager.

In Safari ~> Preferences ~> General, set your Homepage to whichever it should be according to you.

See if any of this helps & report back please.

You can also download and install the excellent virus program ClamXav, available from here:

https://www.clamxav.com/

You can use if on a trial basis for 30 days. When you first launch it, make sure you let it download the latest virus "definitions".

ClamXav is "stronger" that Malwarebytes (although that is a good product). One thing, though, as that as you go "up" the choices of "areas" on your Mac to let ClamXav scan, it takes longer.
