Hi, I was highlighting some phrases in preview and suddenly from the next line, the highlight colours went dark and of course, I didn't change any settings. Does anyone know how to put them back to original light colours? Thanks in advance.
Umm but that only changes the colour of highlight, what i want is to change it to the original light colours...Hello and welcome.
You can change the highlighting color by clicking the Highlight button here and choosing a color.

I'm using Sierra 10.12.2 and the version of preview is 9.0(909.12), i want to change the colours to a lighter colours!OK...
-What version of OS X?
-What version of Preview?
-Do you mean remove the highlighting, or change the colors to a lighter yellow and a lighter purple?

No, i didn't edit this doc with a previous version of either os x or preview. it suddenly darkened from the next line and i really don't know what's wrong g =[ =[OK, thanks.
I don't think there is a way to change the colors. Not sure why they changed on you - as you can see in Sierra, as you highlight, the color is lighter. When you release the mouse/trackpad button, the colors darken.
Was this document previously edited with a previous version of OS X/Preview?

I've already tried it but it doesn't help at all. I might have to just use it, i got no choice lol anyways, thanks Cory have a nice day =]Sorry, don't know of a cause or a solution. The highlight colors in preview on my Mac act as I stated above.
You could try and close/reopen the document to see if the colors become uniform throughout the document.
There used to be a workaround in older versions of OS X/Preview, that would allow you to change the colors, but it doesn't work in Sierra.
