Somehow I made a keystroke combination (or did something...) which opened ALL of the files in my Folder onto my Desktop. How do I go about closing them all? TIA. Screenshot is of a small portion of the Desktop.
Easiest thing to do is to open the Desktop folder in your Home Folder. You can then set the view to List. (Command 2) This will make it easier to select files to move them.
