I have scanned my Mac and removed some of the adware using Malwarebytes. The second time i scan, it detected the following files.

/private/etc/run_upd.sh

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.bombardeUpd.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.discolorizationUpd.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.gazzettaUpd.plist

/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.spoldgeUpd.plist

May i know if the above files are related to Adware.VSearch and i can proceed to remove them.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome.

As always, make sure you have a current Time Machine or other backup of your hard drive.

That said, yes, those look like malware files. They can be deleted. If you are still unsure, you could always drop Malwarebytes a quick email to verify.

Hi Cory,

Thank you for reply. Drop them an email and has deleted those files. Unfortunately, there is still other ads pop up. The Malwarebytes does not detect any other adware. Any other way to find out what cause the ads?

No worries.

Sounds like you may have some other form of malware/adware.

-Do you have any third-party toolbars installed?
-What items are in the Login items for your users?
-Do you have any anti-virus software installed?
-Do you have any third-party utilities such as MacKeeper or CleanMyMac installed?
