Accidentally turned on Parental Controls, and cannot turn them off?

Okay, I know this sounds stupid, but IDK what I did! I went to turn on Parental Controls to put a lock on a folder, and now I cannot turn them off! When I click on the lock in the bottom left-hand corner to make changes, it says type an administrator's name and password to make changes. When I type in my name and password, it says it's not correct! Please help?!

Check System Preferences > Accounts and see what account it the Admin account, if you are using an Admin Account as a Standard Account (not good) then it is the Same User Name and Password as when you log in.

If not then try logging into the Admin Account.

There is nothing we can do to solve lost Passwords, sorry.

i have the same problem, i know my password, but forgot user name. how do i retrieve the user name?

System Preferences > Accounts (Users &Groups), The name is shown.
