Thought I would also add that I am running Sonoma.

Does the Disk Utility work with this vers., or is there perhaps a new version that is required
for Sonoma ?

Yep, Disk Utility works fine with macOS Sonoma. You don’t need a separate version – the built-in app should be good to go.

Disk Utility is part of macOS and every system software update, done properly, will automatically come with the newest version of Disk Utility.
