Hello, I just switched from win to an imac27-2019 with intel, everything is fine and dandy, harder than windows or just the beginning is like that 🙂 Problems with applications, installation, etc. but, completely different from windows. The biggest problem I have is with a 2TB m2 adata legend 800 ssd with an external zike z666 that appears in disk utility 950 GB ?!? When I bought it, it was with 1TB fusion which I changed with a 500GB SSD internal samsung. I looked for answers but… I can't resist anymore! HELP ! ! !

On Windows it shows 1.86 GB. I partially solved the problem by making 2 partitions of 1 GB each and now it also appears correctly on the iMac---2x1gb,container disk 7 & 8
In my experience, ever since APFS was introduced by Apple, creating partitions, albeit on hard drives or SSDs, creates a lot of complications. I have since remained with only one partition and just creating volumes to create distinct “drives.” This is Disk Utility on my system, showing as many volumes that would fit on screen, which is about 50%.
