laptop spaces Desktop1 and Desktop2. external display Desktop3 and Desktop4.
Recently and for reasons no one here can sort out we can no longer in the options context menu from the dock change assigned desktop from all choices. Apps no longer have the desktops listed for the external monitor spaces. Apps that should open on the external display do not. Screenshots.
Apps can be dragged to the external monitor or using mission control. Buuuut once done: the options menu for "assign to" shows "none" instead of Desktop3 or Desktop4.
