24" iMac "cant walk & Chew Gum at the same time"... slows down when doing other tasks.

while I love my new M1 dearly, there are times when frustration gets to me. like when I try to do a few things at once...

it will bog down to a snail's pace, like when I am copying files for a usb drive while printing out a document etc...

anyone else cop this.

my old 27" 1012 High Sierra was faster...

cant wait till they bring out a 27: or bigger, with loads more ram.

That is a decent amount of data to be copying simultaneously.

• What is the brand/model of external storage you are copying to?
• Is it a flash drive or hard drive?
• What type of USB connection is it using?
